To quote Morons.org "Theocracy? What theocracy?"

Genties and ladlemen, meet Bush appointee Leon Holmes.

Some choice quotes from this idiot:

"Abortions should not be available to rape victims because conceptions from rape occur with the same frequency as snow in Miami." -- letter to the editor, 1980 (he's since apologized).

"The wife is to subordinate herself to her husband." and "the woman is to place herself under the authority of the man." -- article co-written with his wife.

But this, dear friends, is the real prize winner:

He agrees with Booker T. Washington that slavery was, at least partially, an example of divine providence. "[God has] placed the Negro race in America so it could teach the white race by example what it means to be Christlike."

More lunacy attendant to Judge Looneybin, but not from he himself:

WASHINGTON -- Reading from the Bible on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday, Sen. Orrin Hatch endorsed a federal judicial nominee who wrote that wives should have a subordinate role in marriage, with the Utah Republican emphasizing "millions and millions of people will agree with" that view.

Go ahead, Bush apologists. Go right ahead and spin this one.

My personal bit here, and I know I'm preaching to the choir; I have four women on my friends list that conceived via rape. Not including myself.

Well, I **Guess** you could call it subordinate in that any working unit has to have one person who makes the final decision, and in this family it is Bill. That does not mean I don't give my opinion (both when asked and sometimes not), and he, 95% of the time, listens. This is what works for us. In some cases
the woman can make the decisions. It depends on what works comfortabley for each family. But "subordinate"? I don't think so, no this lifetime.
