I never actually said I *remembered* how to speak German legibly..... I do much better with "movie German" That is,
English with a heavy accent. Like ziss und zat, etc...

But as far as the failed cut and paste the other evening it's a conspiracy. All I did was cut and paste. LJ gave me an error message telling my I was using illegal characters... grrrr

lets see if it will let me cut and past the comment about your grandmother...

I deleted this post to edit my reply. When I posted it the FIRST time, it handled my cut and paste of Kush's grandmother just fine, with double esses and everything. After I did the editing and attempted to post again, it took out the double esses and gave me this error -
