People in Phoenix already know this, but..

Joe Arpaio is the biggest scumbag on the planet Earth, extant. Put it like this, if it were a choice between George Bush and Joe Arpaio in the election, I'd vote for Bush in a heartbeat.

Why am I telling you this?

Sheriff Joe's goons launched an assault to make a misdemeanor arrest. The Raid left a burned house, a terrified neighborhood and a dead dog.

A. Misdemeanor. Fucking. Arrest.

As God is my holy witness, Joe Arpaio, I hope you burn in hell.

I've got mixed feelings about the man... I don't like his personality, or a lot of the stupid little shit he does, but he also does a lot of good things.

As for the article in the new times, I'd rather find a more reputable source, they are as bad as faux news at trying to skew and sensationalize stuff. I understand all news sources are biased, but the new times is really only good for food and concert listings.

I call that the difference between investigative reporting and simply repeating what you're told. Yes, the New Times article takes on an editorial format and uses emotionally charged words, but it goes into a level of detail that the blotter-copies don't, and I doubt those details are just made up. And, frankly, aren't a few emotionally-charged words appropriate when you're talking about burning puppies alive?

I would agree.. maybe a dog died in the fire and that would be sad... but as much as the new times tries to villify Sherrif Joe, I don't trust it as a truthful news source - at all.
They'll quote anybody they can find that will say something bad - who knows if it's right or not, and frankly - he does enough crap on his own to look bad, he doesn't need help:)
