I'll make this relatively short and sweet: we need advertising, and we need it quick. Just about the first thing somebody's going to ask is what are our listener numbers. To be blunt, that's not something we really need to be emphasizing right now if you catch my drift. What can be said is we have listeners all over the world. Which is true. We're apparently one of the darlings of the South African gothic community, and we've got dedicated listeners in Hungary, Japan, Russia and other pretty exotic locales. Plus, we've got a fair amount of extremely dedicated listeners here in the states who listen for hours on end, just not a whole bunch *of* them. That last part, of course, you can leave out. Thus their ads would be heard quite a few times. Plus we're linked on a fairly good sized list of gothic sites, and we're media partners with a couple of big stations - GotBlack and IPM Radio so people would be brought in by those stations to hear out station and thus their ads.

Plus I need places to promote the station where they're not going to lose their minds over somebody promoting something even vaguely commercial so we *can* increase that listener count.

I say all this because it's quickly reaching a crisis point for the station. I just don't know how much longer I can keep it up. But I want to give it time to try and round some good paying advertising up so I don't have to make the next birthday the last one.

If they need a PayPal addy, have them get in touch with me at docwebstr at radionosferatu dot com and I'll give them the account to use until I get a proper payment/donation button set up.

If you enjoy Radio N and what we bring to the table and the music and programming we provide, it's time to help out because we need it.
(Excuse the rerun of last night's instructions, but I thought it best)

I had a few people ask how to listen, so here again is the How To:

The best thing to use to listen to the stream is Winamp, of course, and if you need Winamp you can find the version I myself use here.

NOTE: Just right click and Save As, then run it to install.

From there, it depends on what kind of connect speed you have:

Dialup, I'd go with the Low feed. DSL and above, I'd try the high feed first (the addresses are at the bottom of this post).

You can also use RealPlayer 7 and above, as well as (as far as I know) Windows Media Player 9. As far as WMP goes, I haven't tried it with any of the earlier releases.

The absolute best way to listen in, at least for me, is to find whatever command your player uses for Add URL or Open URL, something like that.

With Winamp, it's Ctrl-L and you cut/paste one of the two addies in, hit open to exit the URL window, and hit play. You should be good to go from there.

If you want to make requests, go to http://rhis.2ya.com and off on the left hand side of the screen is a link to PlayList & Requests. Go there, click on the style of music you want, click on the Request link by the song you want and hey presto.

Anyway, let's do this. I'll be on Undernet IRC in #RadioNosferatu and on AOL IM and Yahoo IM as docwebstr . Werd.
