Bear in mind I haven't read many of the DC comics in quite a long time, so if this contravenes any continuity I apologize in advance.

Anyway, I woke up with the germ of a story idea. Professor Zoom (basically the evil Flash, for the uninitiated) shows up very literally out of nowhere at Justice League Headquarters immediately following a sonic boom. His uniform is in tatters and his mask is literally hanging by threads. He has obviously been through an enormous amount of physical abuse of one kind or another and can't seem to manage to do much of anything but continually mutter the name of Wally West. He can't even stand up.

Most of the members are out on some assignment or other, but J'onn J'onzz is there and gets Zoom to the medical bay, obviously under enormously high security and quarrantine. Wally is summoned and wants to immediately throw Zoom in the lockup and throw away the key. But J'onn has sensed that the (not) good Professor risked everything to bring himself to the one place on Earth he would be sure of the most hostile reception, so it's unlikely he means to do mischief.

Moreover, at this point Zoom awakens for a moment, screaming Wally's name over and over - and then sinks back on the bed, once again unconcsious. Then his mask falls away and the security camera picks up the startling image of Zoom with snow white hair and filmed over eyes, obviously blind.

In short, whatever drove him to the JLA headquarters out of desperation was sufficiently horrific enough to render him nearly insane with fear.

I don't know where the story would go from here, but it just wouldn't leave me be and I had to get it down in even semi-permanent form before I forgot it.

(Off to go do The Grocery Thing. I should be back later on to see what you folks think.)
Here's the info you might well need if you've never listened to the show before.

I've got a tasty mix of 80's, dance, remixes, Bowie and Rocky Horror music in the playlist for the evening so drag (heh) yourself on in and let's flame on!
Apparently folks are Very Busy, tonight, so no biggie. I'll just save the show for Friday night and direct your listening attention to the maniacs at IPM Radio.
