Enough of this happy horseshit.
Jun. 3rd, 2005 08:54 amI'm sure you've all heard about the infamous Downing Street Memo by now. Well, apparently the American news media think it's more important for we the public to be breathlessly fed every last harrowing detail of some runaway bride and her idiot fiancee, not to mention whether Michael Jackson showed little boys his own personal Thriller or not.
I, for one, am fed the fuck up. I am done burying my head in the sand and hoping they'll go away.
Below is an email I just sent to the media hordes at CBS News. Slight variations will go to the other news outlets, but I don't intend to shut up until I get answers.
"What I'd like to know is why you're utterly ignoring the now infamous "Downing Street Memo"? I guess the trials and tribulations of a runaway bride are more important than whether the President Of The United States "led" us into war based on complete lies they themselves created so they could have their war. As I recall, you fell all over yourselves to repeat every last detail - proven or otherwise - about President Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky. But this you ignore? What has happened to you?
To be blunt, Edward R. Murrow would be ashamed of what has become of CBS News."
I mean, were I King George The Mad, I'd want my name cleared if it were possible. But the American news media are sheep and I'm flatly weary of it.
