Anderson Cooper *snaps*

Cooper to Landrieu: Americans Want Answers

An emotional exchange just took place between CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu. Cooper introduced Landrieu and immediately asked, “Does the federal government bear responsibility for what is happening now? Should they apologize for what is happening now?” Landrieu told him “there will be be plenty of time to discuss those issues,” and proceeded to begin thanking various government officials for their disaster relief support.

Finally, Cooper interrupted her:

Holy shit.. it just got worse.

The New Orleans riverfront has been hit by a series of massive blasts, and fires are raging in the area.

The blasts are believed to have involved a chemical factory and police have sent a team to see if toxic fumes have been released.

EDIT: A link to [livejournal.com profile] greyman's post on Effective donation to large scale relief. Please spread this link around.

Is George Bush out of his tiny goddamn mind?

"The good news is -- and it's hard for some to see it now -- that out of this chaos is going to come a fantastic Gulf Coast, like it was before. Out of the rubbles of Trent Lott's house -- he's lost his entire house -- there's going to be a fantastic house. And I'm looking forward to sitting on the porch" -- Bush

Radio Nosferatu Friday Night - The Nose Ferret Goes To Work

'lo jams.

I'll be providing info throughout the evening on how and where to donate, that sort of thing. As always with this flippin' talk-over-the-stream plugin, if it makes my machine lock up, I'll be right back as quickly as possible.

Tonight's main event will be the remastered "Tales Of Mystery And Imagination" by The Alan Parsons Project. It's based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe, and will be run (of course, since it's about Poe) at midnight eastern.

Dialup, I'd go with the Low feed. DSL and above, I'd try the high feed first.

You can also use RealPlayer 7 and above, as well as (as far as I know) Windows Media Player 9. As far as WMP goes, I haven't tried it with any of the earlier releases.

The absolute best way to listen in, at least for me, is to find whatever command your player uses for Add URL or Open URL, something like that.

With Winamp, it's Ctrl-L and you cut/paste one of the two addies in, hit open to exit the URL window, and hit play. You should be good to go from there.

If you want to make requests, go to http://rhis.2ya.com and off on the left hand side of the screen is a link to PlayList & Requests. Go there, click on the style of music you want, click on the Request link by the song you want and hey presto.

Anyway, let's do this thing.
