Bet that got your attention, didn't it?
As far the Big Shows on the weekend go, if you really have to ask what Saturday night's main event is (hint: check the chap(?) in my icon), I shall be forced to smack you. Friday night I have absolutely no idea what the main event will be yet, but as those who've survived my Halloween weekend shows can tell you, I have yet to disappoint.
Sunday night will be the Mercury Theatre's immortal "War Of The Worlds" broadcast, which will be immediatly followed by Jeff Wayne's musical version that was produced for the 40th anniversary in 1978. If you haven't heard it, stop laughing. It works. With the Moody Blues, Thin Lizzy, Richard Burton as the narrator and several other musical acts along for the ride, it kicks much ass.
I'm reviving an old RHIS tradition and that is the Preshow From The Beyond for Saturday night's show. To wit, I need requests (pauses for the weisenheimers to settle down) for the playlist that night. Get them in ahead of time, and please try to keep them anatomically feasible? Note: Since WinMX got given the bum's rush thanks to the scum at the RIAA and affiliated slime, I might have a bit more trouble than in former days getting tunes but I'll definitely do my best.
Halloween on a Monday? Yeesh.
Folks, I ask this of you many times, but for this week and weekend's shows in particular I really mean it - please, please, please spread the word. I would dearly love to max out the listener counts on the shoutcast servers. Besides, this will be the coming out party for the new variety format so the more, the merrier.
More as the week progresses, and I'm sorely tempted to do a show tonight. We're talking a couple hours, mind, as it's a weeknight.
Stay tuned for details, folks.
