I went to middle school with Rian, and kept up with her through high school. She was one of my few friends from this nightmare establishment. We gradually lost contact what with college and chaos.

If you worked Mother Pocket's, I bet you also know Robin Owens (whose name may have changed, since I think she's married now). She's another Barstow Survivor.

Rian's one of the people I kinda meant to get back in touch with sometime, but our social groups only vaguely overlapped, so I have no idea how to find her anymore. Maybe I'll get ambitious one of these days and start tracking down old college friends in earnest.

Actually, his resignation letter mentions "other challenging horizons", which probably means he *is* considering a Supreme Court bid.

...in the face of that, I'd gladly have him back here again where he can only fuck with our state. Yeesh...who knew losing to a dead man would be so rewarding?

Ahh, I had the reverse situation; grew up (mostly) in Iowa, went to university in Oklahoma, went back after graduation to work, then ended up in KCMO.

Seriously though, the OSU connection is a bust. My ex lived in Cleveland and went to school at the University of Toledo. Worked at Cedar Point though, a few summers, I believe.
