"The streets of New York" summons an image of roughness! and then she tacks on the surrender.

These so-called savages ever come to Texas, it would take us about an hour to notice what they were doing. 90 minutes to figure out it's a coordinated attack. And then it's all over.
Things are spaced out in Texas so the first hour is just mostly them travelling to reach their destination.
