Why, you might ask? See, it's because those feelthy liberal traitorous scrum voted against military recruiting in public schools. The whole story is here, but here's the relevant portion of Brutha Bill's rant:

“If Al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we're not going to do anything about it,” he continued. “We're going to say, ‘look, every other place in America is off limits to you, except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead."

Local radio has been amused at his putting the theoretical Presidential smackdown in Union Square.

The only people in Union Square are tourists and homeless. You want real San Franciscans, you go to SoMa.

That and most of us don't really care about Coit Tower.
