When I was living with a drag queen in Bloomington, Indiana, my cooking got me paid a rather nice compliment.

On this particular occasion, I made peanut butter cookies. Tom tried one, sighed, and said "You know, it's entirely too bad you're not six-four, blonde and gay."

To date, that's one of the nicest things anybody's ever said to me.
