Just got back from the emergency room. Reader's Digest version -taking out garbage in the garage, slipped, and sliced my left inside forearm wide open on a busted light tube. Stopped just short of the tendons, big nasty long cut. Blood. LOTS of blood.
I got extremely lucky on two counts - one, the assistant professor of surgery was on hand to do the stitching. Two, Ranada was right there when it happened. So yeah, things could have been much, much worse.
