So, let me get this straight.

The BBC can bally well revive bleeding Blake's 7 as a movie and quite possibly a new series, but all Doctor Who gets is a few books, an audio or three, a shockwave "movie" of Shada, and an *animated* version???

Sorry for coming over all British, but I've been watching Ground Force all morning and after being immersed in all things British almost since birth, I tend to when I get irritated like this. Yet one more giant finger from the BBC to fans of Doctor Who, I suppose.

From the site:
(emphasis mine)
Why revive Blake’s 7?

Unlike any other British produced SF series, Blake’s 7 has maintained a strong and enduring worldwide following. Given that its gritty and dramatic style was every bit as great an influence on the SF genre as the original Star Trek there is a clear opportunity to take Terry Nation’s original concept into an entirely new and exciting realm that will win a whole new audience.

The hell?
Methinks someone at the Beeb Beeb Ceeb has an rather short memory...

The silly, twisted boys.

I fully realize I'm likely attempting something futile, here, but I'd be quite pleased if you'd join us, tomorrow evening.
