How is it possible?

How can I possibly be homesick for a place I've never set foot in?

I have this theory that all that stuff about destiny and fate are true...but the accounts department screws up now and again, and we wind up with people stuck living the wrong life.

You sir, should be sitting at a bar in New Orleans, sipping some JD and contemplating tonight's R&B show on your local pirate radio station you run out of the rooms above the pool hall next to the brothel across the street...

Goddess alone know what life I should be living...I don't think half of it's been invented yet.

Y'know, people here in Austin keep telling me how tired they are of hearing us exiles whining about missing New Orleans. They say it's just another city, and we should stop feeling sorry for ourselves and accept that New Orleans is dying if not dead.
New Orleans is NOT just another city...there's no place on earth quite like her. I miss my home...

I miss New Orleans a lot, especially because I never got the chance to see it.

New Orleans does that to people. It just might be the most amazing place on earth.
