Okay, that's it.

There is a crack in the smegging foundation. I know this because the past two times it's rained the carpet gets sopping wet *only* right under where I set my feet when I'm at the computer. Therefore it's time to pack up tents and move unless Herself wants to put in money to: fix the foundation, replace carpet (that would have to be taken up to fix the foundation), get a new heater/AC unit, fix the electrical problems, get a plumber in (downstairs bathroom sink utterly refuses to drain despite every single plumbering goop I can get at the store) and shore up the little slope behind the house and underneath the back porch that is swiftly eroding away and I'm deathly afraid at some point in the next few years will peel the back of the house clean off like a bloody great boiled egg.

So what I want to hear from those of you who care to do so is a sales pitch for where you live and why Doc (and quite possibly Herself and the kittehs) should move there. Please don't think I've got some kind of exalted opinion of myself or anything, I'm just looking to cheer myself up a little and get information on various places that could be possibilities. There are already two leading contenders - Austin and Seattle. I just thought this might be fun.

I would say phx but its just not that cool ... its hot... it rarely rains... it never snows... there are 2 seasons.... fucking cold and boiling. sometimes in the same day. . . cancer lives here too and I don't know how well you two would do in the same city together. . . there isn't much of a scene ... but there is a resemblance of one. . . theres a ton of mormons and no culture ;) the busses suck... the rail is construction hell... why do I live here anyway?

The universe couldn't handle that much geek in one place and not call it a convention.

He lies! There's no 'fucking cold' in Arizona. NEVER EVER!

There's hot, and not so hot.

I've worn a t-shirt on Christmas. Seriously... no 'fucking cold' goes to the city that exists on the surface of the sun.

The problem with Phoenix is that you have to have A/C and a high electric bill every summer. Winter isn't too bad.

There's lot's of jobs there, but rent is a bit high. Of course, you could probably get a house pretty cheap right now. (snicker)

more to add

He is right about there being no scene.

Not sure about the mormons... maybe on HIS side of town. hehe. But I think he has a hippy problem on his side of town too. lol On my family's side of town it's more about dealing with the Mexicans who seem to have exploded in population like rabbits on Viagra. Bring Pesoes(sp). LOL

There's a good 'ROCKY' scene but you might have to drive a long ways to see it. Some are dedicated enough, most aren't.

The buses ..yeah they suck mostly.. but I think that my complaints had more to do with their a/c on them, and how long I had to wait in the blistering heat with my pale skin.

Oh.. and you live there because you haven't moved yet! heh
