On the day I went away

I ache in places I didn't know I had places. I've bled, sweat and paid the price (thank you, Ric Flair) over the past few days and - to be blunt - I've got a rash in a place it's very uncomfortable to have a rash. I have three t-shirts, three pairs of underwear, two pairs of jeans, a pair of ripped sweats, socks and one extremely battered pair of tennis shoes as my wardrobe. we've lost so much stuff I can't even begin to catalogue it all, but Ranada and I are safe, if not particularly happy happy joy joy right now. The kittehs are adjusting well. The lappy found a very low strength and intermittent signal to use until Mediacom gets here tomorrow afternoon and restores me to the world but for now, it's livable. Now we just have to make it Home.

I'm sorry you've been through so much. Glad you found a place to go.

Do you have more clothes buried under the pile or is that all you have anywhere? A guy I worked with once moved and could not find his socks for a week and just lived without them until they turned up, so I do hope you have more clothes under all the things you moved.

Hope things are better now. Your last home was such a dump, I doubt you miss it.

The rat bastiges will have to send somebody in to box up your stuff and set it out for trash day. Keep an eye on the old homestead if possible so you can snag some of your stuff.

Man, oh man. Glad you and the fuzzies are under a roof and Connected. That bit about the old homestead is very good advice. The cleanup crew may take some of it but the vast majority will, as he said, be accessible.
