My close personal.. gah.. buddy boritom rants on the utter stupidity of hacking on the new Star Trek movie based on physics. This is brilliant, folks, and you might not want to watch this at work.

The real utter stupidity comes from the Fanboys who are trying to whine about the new movie based on OLD CONTINUITY. "But Kirk was originally assigned to the USS Farragut before he went to the Enterprise! And Robert April was the first Captain of the Enterprise! And..."

When SF fans complain that "the physics" of something is wrong, it's usually because they want to demonstrate how much physics they know, not because they particularly hate the movie. It's kind of a geek ego thing.
