My first poll. *sniff* I'm so proud.

I'm thinking of creating my first posting filter.

[Poll #223014]

I try to avoid politics on LJ. I have too many friends on all points of the spectrum, so I'm sitting on a powder keg.

Where's the option of "Blatherings from a big git?" :)

hmmph. you know i'm not going to say "Piss Off, Y'liberal Fairy." i'd rather say "i'd rather not because we currently disagree on some things and i'd rather keep things respectful atween us

You are the only one I know on LJ currently talking about ANYTHING of marginal interest. Your political rantings remind me of just what the hell is going on in the world. Please, keep me in the loop!

I don't care if we agree or not, I like to read.

As [livejournal.com profile] lizzibabe said, I'm not going to say Piss off, y' liberal fairy. But that's the reason some people dropped off my Friends list. I just didn't want to have to see any more of their ranting when they wouldn't actually listen to an opposing viewpoint. But you actually do listen when an opposing viewpoint is aired. You don't change your opinion but you do listen which is a great deal more than the others have done. So keep me in the loop for now. I'll let you know later if I want out. Okay?

You misconstrue me. I could just *hear* Terry Jones saying that, so I put it in. So ha.

[identity profile] guruwench.livejournal.com 2003-12-20 05:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd like to be "in", please. What with being in a different country from you and all, it's nice to see the viewpoint of your country's politics from a citizen rather than a media site (even the venerable CBC).

Someone wise, I forget who now, once said (and I'm paraphrasing badly here I know) ... that the most boring conversation they ever had was with someone who agreed with everything they said.

Honestly, some things I agree heartily with, some things I disagree with, some thing I think might be better phrased, but you are always, honest, interesting, and deeply passionate about your beliefs without blindly following anything..... in short its always an worthwhile discussion.

I'm most glad to stay..... if you'll have me.

I was confused with the question. You know that I share your opinion with politicial issues. And I try several ways to share with other people what is really happening and so on. but yeah Ill help you with your political views since so far we are mirror reflections on the opinions.

Though I don't know what the reason is to arrest saddam and not arrest our guys for giving him the weapons and helping in creating civil wars all over the world.

You don't look very shy in that outfit...

But I prefer porridge for breakfast (Yes keep up the great let's laugh at the silly yanks LJ posts)

I never meant you in my post. I was betrayed by someone I thought cared for me. I was wrong, or something.

P.S. Did you set up the filter yet?

P.P.S. I prefer frosted flakes.

Not yet, I haven't. I may not actually have to. Exactly two of the people who responded didn't want to be in it, so I may just stick with lj-cutting it.

Don't be it's being bad in a good way... :D hehehe
