If you're not registered, you can go here or here. That last link is The League Of Women Voters, supported by Working Assets (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] rosefox.

I don't frankly give a flying damn if you like the war, Bush Junior, or if the very thought of them gives you hives, this happy horseshit has GOT to be stopped and stopped now.

What fucking part of the First Amendment do these rejects not understand? Here. Let me put it in nice bold letters so even those mental midgets can read it all purty:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

This is the last damned straw. Those sons of bitches have got to go. In a world where peaceably (as near as can be told) assembling in an anti-war capacity is being acted on like the assemblers are so many racketeers, we need to drop this shit like a bad habit.

I am pissed off, I am furious beyond mere words, and come November I will help ride those morons out of office and kick 'em in the asses on the way out. At very least, the lousy bastards will know they've been in a real fight.

(The above registration info was snagged from [livejournal.com profile] rosefox. The court case info was snagged from Atrios.)

Ah. So, I take it oyu haven't heard what they're trying to do to Greenpeace? Get them declared a "terrorist" organization because they once boarded a commercial ship (illegal, but non violent) and put up a banner.

One of Grinnell's librarians was arrested for "assaulting" an officer by going limp and refusing to move at a protest. My hero.
