Yeah, we captured Sadamaramalamadingdong... except we didn't, the Kurds did. We're apparently, at least to hear the cognoscenti bleat about it, practically setting on top of Osama. Bets on how close to election time we'll "find" him? Images from That Day are being used by the man at 1600's advertising people, with absolutely no detectable sense of shame about doing so. I also hear (and may be wrong, but I doubt it) the Republicans are going to hold their convention in New Yawk so they can flog the country to death with just how damn patriotic they are and how anybody who disagrees are liberal hippy pinko scum traitors who are just itching to turn the country over to the turrists amen, amen.

Friends and neighbors, war may be a necessary evil, but the key word there is "evil". It is a brutal, nasty, ugly, repulsive business not fit for any multiple celled organism with an intellect presumably above that of a squashed grape. Who am I kidding? Even paramecium shouldn't have to put up with this crap. It may be necessary on occasion, but don't ask me to celebrate it. Nor, if you want to avoid my foot up your ass, ask me to or demand I sit back, shut up, and be a good little sheep about how I feel about it.

The ripple effect from all this is being felt all across the country. The Religious Reich are frantically trying to assert whatever feeble dominance they still posess(sp?) to bring down any hope of equality for gay couples. Clear Channel frogmarches along, dropping Howard Stern for speaking out about Shrubya, while they add Michael Savage to please the rabid neo-con scumbags they obviously want to pander to. You do remember this guy, right? He's the one who got shitcanned by MSNBC because he referred to a caller as a "sodomite" and said he "should get AIDS and die".

That is why I will vote for John Kerry. I don't give a flying damn at the moment that he's against gay marriage, although I don't intend to forget it. I will vote for John Kerry because the Religious Reich and their neo-con ilk have to be slapped down. Another four years of Bush will serve only to make them even more bold about reshaping this lurching old beast of a country that I love in their miserable, paranoiac, sexually repressive image. Stuff that for a lark, as Alan Titchmarsh says.

I will vote Bush out of office because of what he has done, what his neo-con ilk have done, and I will vote him out of office because I absolutely have to. I have to try, at least.

Get ready, Mr. Bush. You are in for a fight you will never forget. November can't get here soon enough, you rotten sonofabitch.

*snarl* I hate the Bush admin.

I'm still hoping for someone better than Kerry to win the final Democrat nomination, pointless though it is to do so. (I voted early for the Texas primaries, and I voted for Dean. I don't care if he's dropped out, I'm not voting for any of the survivors if I don't like them. At least not at the primaries. Come November, it's a whole 'nother story.)

Ah yes, Michael Savage, "The Compassionate Conservative". I've heard him; he's about as compassionate as Attila the Hun.

Lwt us chant together now "Hurry up November, Hurry up November, Hurry up November". We have to get this twit and his friends out of D.C. I almost think I would prefer that he was listening to his Rice Krispies(tm) than his God. Safer for the rest of us mortals.
