See, tonight I had an epiphany.. there's ten million and two gothic/industrial stations out there, well established with audiences that just aren't going to go anywhere.

You've heard of psychotronic movies? Pretty much any early film put out by Troma, that sort of thing? Well, I've decided to not play the straight goth/industrial game. We can't play that game and hope to win. I want Radio N to be the first psychotronic radio station.

Gothabilly, goth, industrial, Weird Shit.. the radio station for the freaky side of life.

What say you?

As long as you have a musical atrocities show, I say yay :)

I say, bring on the freaky shit! Now if I could listen to the show, I'd be a happy bunny. Unfortunately, I usually have co-workers around :(

[Could you call this Nietzche marketing ?]

I think it's a good idea/concept, though, and I think you already know my concern....

How far are you willing to take it? Remember my entries dealing with local dj's who, wanted to open up a bit and expand their playlists, though in incorporating more techno and ebm have com pletely allowed their playlists to be overrun by nothing biut techno and ebm....

Now, ask 'em to play something 'Goff' and you get weird looks, snarls, and virtually despised simply for "asking".

Doc, don't lose the Old School Charm, bro. :(

Who says I'm going to? One look at our request logs tells me people are requesting anything *but* EBM stuff. I'm old school until the day I die, but I also want to bring in.. I want to be the Fangoria of internet radio. Does that make sense?

I want to be the place where the old school freaks can come and be assured of a place where they belong. The 'net and the music thereon can be a pretty intimidating place for the old school freaks, and I want to change that and celebrate the twisted fun of the freaky side of life and entertainment along the way. That's more what I meant.

Good to know. I think you've got a great radio there Doc. And i"m not just saying that. I listen to it alot actually. Though my mavhine is on its last legs here, so my buffering gets me pissy sometimes. ;)

Old School Freaks - Indeed, they're still out there. Keep em happy.

did you know that, on GothicunderWorld, there are literally mothers and fathers whom, are registered, as well as their kids?

FAMILIES of Goths - FAMILIES! And quite a few of em. This totally blows my mind.

I think what I'll do is link directly to your jack-in linkup from there as well. YOur banners are displayed there already by the way. Just so you know. ;)

I am all for it - my favorite radio programs wander all over the musical map. And as soon as I can pay my bills and have a little extra left over afterward, I'll send you a donation to help. So there. ;)

You need to make sure you get more stuff by groups like The Residents, Kraftwerk and that groundbreaking experimental rock group, The Narrow Way...

Seriously, that's probably the best move I've seen yet, and I hope it gives you that well-deserved boost.

I might even be pursuaded to get with Chris and do an Audio mix of some of our Video Difficulties bits... Call it Audio Difficulties or something...

...plus, a 30 minute sample of the baby screaming with a loop of a Ritchie Blackmore guitar solo and some assorted Godzilla roars, for those times when you just wanna show how non-mainstream you are ;-)
