Noah, old friend, my hands are shaking as I type this reply. I am simply posting it here for all to see. Please understand this is not directed at you, for reasons you yourself know.

That being said:

I am heartily pissed off and fuming over these fear-ridden walking piles of phlegm doing their damndest to marginalize me and mine. Exactly when do we get to be pissed off, huh? Exactly when do we get to get to stand up to these bullies?

Do I get to rant and rage and vent and fume? Until you've seen the end result, as I have, of what happened to an otherwise harmless individual who was beaten to a clinical coma over what he liked to do with his penis and the penises of others and who natured dictated he loved, I'll thank you not to piss on my parade. I am weeping and I am pissed off beyond all measure and I am simply not taking their bullshit anymore!

And the next goddamn person who points out to me John Kerry's stance on gay marriage gets a napalm enema.

Doc, although I may disagree with you on many things, this is not one of them. Given any chance at all, I will vote for you and yours to have exactly the same right that me and mine have. (and as often as they will let me:} ) I will also continue to make my opinion on this subject known to all of my reps both at the state and federal level.

I know, Doc. Maybe I am unusually dumb, but I really do not understand why it should make any difference. It seems to me that a person is either a citizen or not. They are either granted all the rights and responsibilities of being a citizen or they are not. If they are not granted the rights, they should not be responsible for the responsibilities of citizens.
The government does not want to grant GLBT all the rights of citizens, then the government should not expect them to be available for military service, jury duty, policemen, firemen, doctors, lawyers, clergy, teachers, chefs, politics, scientists,
or really anything else. They certainly should not be expected to pay taxes of any kind. This makes them pets of the government? Wait a minute, that could so very easily sound like "slave". I seem to recall something about a Constitution in this country? That isn't legal. Gee. How 'bout that?

Anyway, hugs to you and yours. I hope this gets worked out soon.
