Alan Keyes - posterboy for Thorazine

"Now we know. Women who undergo abortions and doctors who perform them are the same as terrorists. And the women are like slaveowners. Or something."

(link snagged and quote quoted from this Linkfilter post.)

If any of my readers are in Illinois and actually vote for this loopy bastard, so help me I will track you down and strangle you with your own lower intestines.

I'm just thanking the Republicans for handing the seat to Obama with this jerkoff running against. ;)

Wait... I thought the French were terrorists, and the Iraqis were slaveowners.

Or was it the other way around?

God, I can't keep up with this whole Enemy Of The Day thing anymore.

Keyes is beyond caricature at this point. He makes Bob Dornan look like a moderate.

It's the "Or something" that really sells it.

For some reason, my opinion of this oxygen waste isn't going up.

Good God and Everyone Else ... he is one skeery bastard.

Obviously, I like the idea of eliminating federal taxes. However, I wonder if his plan to eliminate taxes for the descendants of slaves would apply to me and Connie. Half our taxes, maybe? :-)

He's funny as hell, isn't he?

I have not idea what the Illinois GOP was thinking.

They're probably thinking that they don't have a viable candidate with ANY chance of actually WINNING the election so they drag old Keyes out so he can constantly hammer the democrats in general with republican wedge issues.

Or, if you prefer something a little more conspiracy theoryish, perhaps they have a plan to give Keyes a little "help" in the Illinois election as a test run for the presedential election shenanigans. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go find my tinfoil hat. :)

Desperation is an ugly thing, innit?
