Radio Nosferatu - An idea hath struck

Struck, it might be said, via a conversation with the one and only [livejournal.com profile] rosefox.. and, well, was her idea. So.

We can get Doctor Demento on the station, first run episodes and everything, for a thousand a year. As far as I know, that would make us the first shoutcast-only station to run the good Doctor. Yeah, I've run old episodes snagged from the newsgroups, but out of consideration for the good Doc and to help our chances of getting the license so to do, I've cut that from the Sunday schedule.

The question is this: would you folks, and just about any Dementoids you know, be willing to help us bring a grand together to pay for the ability to run first run Doctor Demento episodes?

I'll donate 5 bucks if you are going to do it. I know it's not much but I don't have much.

I'm sure we can come up with something :)

I'm sure Kirsten and I can scrap together a $20 each.

Rock on. You up for some Deadness tonight or do you want to stick with the CD burn? I'm cool either way.

I'm having issues with WinAmp. So I'd be very happy with a CD of that show. Kiri doesn't believe me when I told her how good it was.

Oh a fun tidbit. During Space, when the band kept hinting at I Need A Miracle, a know-it-all near me kept saying there was no way they would play Miracle, that they *had* to come into a slow Jerry ballad since they had play Terrapin Station.. as he said this, they, of course, just tear into Miracle.. The know-it-all looked suitably annoyed at the band.

I'm having issues with Winamp 5.03c (full) and 5.03a (lite) but winamp 2.80 (lite) still cranks on. I still have the installation binary. Want it?

The problem was with me having way too much stuff open. It's resolved now. Thanks.
