Understand me.

I want to make that bastard's life a living, breathing, waking nightmare of futility for the next four years. I want to write congressmen, senators, use my online pulpit (for lack of a better term) to expose every dark design he and his PNAC puppetmasters have, help steer the election of 2006 to cut his powerbase out from under him.. in short, I want this second term in office to be his own personal Purgatory.

You want morals?

Feed the hungry.

Clothe the naked.

Visit the sick and the afflicted.

Care for the widows and orphans (aka single parent families).

Visit those in prison.

Love your neighbor.

Where's the morality in letting children go hungry and homeless while the rich get tax breaks?

Pretty radical ideas, those.

I'm sure the Religious Reich wouldn't recognize them. No, they're more concerned with making sure two guys can't get married and call it getting married, not to mention all the fun of bombing the shit out of brown people (thank you, George Carlin). That's a priority to them. Those Leviticus-swilling morons wouldn't recognize compassion if it jumped up and bit them in their SUVs.

(Portions of this screed adapted from a conversation with an LJ friend who shall remain nameless unless otherwise bidden.)

EDIT: A hospital has been razed to the ground in one of the heaviest US air raids in the Iraqi city of Falluja.

A FUCKING HOSPITAL!

Possessed by Lewis Black for a moment

I find it odd that Bush is utterly blissful about receiving a mandate when eleven states made it clear they're utterly terrified of that very thing!

Doc's Red Hot Shoutcast Lovin' Saturday Night Edition

I've got some Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, lots of good Irish whiskey, and a disposition to tear some sh*t up with good music, good conversation and incredibly amounts of nekkidness.

Go here for the details of how and where, as always.

An addendum to my little "Manifesto"

You may have noticed I used the word "we" quite often.

Who are "we"?

We are the ones you want to go away so you can sit there in your comfy suburban tableau without having to worry about anything upsetting your tidy little paradigm. We are the ones who you want to sweep under the rug. We are the ones you wish could just ignore.

We are the sick, the poor, the punks, the gays, the transvestites, the goths, the single mother or father who has to rummage in restaraunt dumpsters after closing to feed their children.

We are the ones you stop at nothing to keep away from the polls because you know good and well we'll toss you out on your well cushioned asses.

We are the ones who are bone weary of an administration that thinks it's more important to go bomb the crap out of anybody who wears a burnoose than it is to take care of the sick and the elderly.

We are the ones who are bone weary of an administration that thinks it can get away with anything and everything and never have to admit it did anything wrong.

We are the ones who are going to end the neo-conservative stranglehold on American political discourse, once and for all and show them for the parasites and fools they are.

Who are we? We are The Misfits Of Politics, and we won't be ignored, put down, shut down, trickled down, brought down, hung out to dry or marginalized anymore.
