Read the first sentence of the story very carefully and do so soon before somebody on the Reuters end wises up and edits it.

God, I love the internet.
Get listenin', join us on Undernet IRC (which is being splitty tonight and I'm on Montreal.Qc.Ca.Undernet.org for those as want to know) in #rf-callahans abdd/or AIM or Yahoo IM (I'm on as docwebstr on both), and let's get this mayhem underway. Note: #RadioNosferatu on Undernet IRC is having fits so don't bother joining that channel until I give word all is clear.
Oh yes - for those on Yahoo IM who have those new emoticons that come with their own audio track, *do not use them when msg'ing me as the sound goes out over the stream*.
The best thing to use to listen to the stream is Winamp, of course, and you can find the version I myself use here.
NOTE: Just right click and Save As, then run it to install.
From there, it depends on what kind of connect speed you have:
Dialup, I'd go with the Low feed. DSL and above, I'd try the high feed first.
You can also use RealPlayer 7 and above, as well as (as far as I know) Windows Media Player 9. As far as WMP goes, I haven't tried it with any of the earlier releases.
The absolute best way to listen in, at least for me, is to find whatever command your player uses for Add URL or Open URL, something like that.
With Winamp, it's Ctrl-L and you cut/paste one of the two addies in, hit open to exit the URL window, and hit play. You should be good to go from there.
If you want to make requests, go to http://rhis.2ya.com and off on the left hand side of the screen is a link to PlayList & Requests. Go there, click on the style of music you want, click on the Request link by the song you want and hey presto.
Anyway, let's do this thing.

Nov. 4th, 2005 07:47 pmThat you plugged in and listening? I can't think of many other people I know at that ISP who'd be requesting the Dead and Aerosmith. :)
