There's an empty wire frame currently in my living room. It's pretty flimsy, actually, not much to recommend it. Certainly, it isn't much to look at.

Let me rephrase that - it was something to look at until last night. You see, it housed a Kerry/Edwards campaign sign.

This thing just became personal.

One of the huge 4'x8' Kerry/Edwards signs down the road from us got kicked through or smashed or something...everything between 'K' and 'ry' and before 'ards' was broken out.

I'm going to see about getting a couple for our yard this week; we're right down the road from a nature trail that gets a lot of traffic.

That is pretty much the saddest thing one can do in all this - steal the opposition's sign. Speaks volumes for the security and confidence they have in their candidate IMHO.

Well, there was a GIANT "BUSH" sign out by the freeway and someone spray painted "LIAR" on it in thick black lettering.
..If that makes you feel any better ;-)
Im sorry about the sign tho.
I have mine sticking out from the window side in looking out. So no one can take my sign... Lots of people have been losing signs :-/

That you said "IN my living room". How the hell and what the hell? I need more data. At first I thought you meant you got rid of it.

I brought it indoors, yeah. I'll get another sign and hang it on there.

Ok so - I am blonde under the red dye job - your Kerry poster was stolen from your front yard? That bites. And the main reason why during 9/11 I looked at my father's flag - pulled from his coffin and given to me - and decided against hanging it out.
Sure enough - flag thefts happened.

No you weren't. If I hadn't read other comments, I would have assumed that Kerry-Edwards had done something so horrid that even Doc had decided he couldn't support them.

Someone stole ours too. I think. It COULD have gotten worn at the upper fold and then blown away, but we didn't find it, so I don't know.

My son was quite upset, but I told him that someone who would do something like that was just mad and jealous because they are afraid our side is going to win. Se we are happy and they are not, which means WE WIN.

Heh. In LA there has been a rash of Bush sign-stealing. It's both sides. Friend of mine had his Bush bumper sticker spray-painted over while he was in class.

Oh, well, that just makes it all fine and dandy then.

This happened to me and my home, and if the thugs who nicked that sign think I'm going to tuck tail and vote for Bush, they can think again.

I'm just saying it's happened to other people. That's all. I wasn't saying it was right.

What really amazes me is either side thinks that kind of juvenile bullcrap is going to change *anybody's* mind.

Get that Glenn Miller Story DVD yet?

My sister's truck was vandalized because of her 'Bush' bumperstickers. They got her pretty good too! hehe. Erm I mean HOW TERRIBLE!

Btw, I don't think anyone is going to vote different because of the number of signs they see in people's yards.

Putting up a sign or having a bumpersticker is your way of showing support for the side you..er..support! :) It shouldn't be the same as putting a bullseye on your ass.

Just my two quarters.
