This, genties and ladlemen, is war. It's long past time for anybody who calls themself a Republican to wake up and smell the coffee. George Bush is a positive damn menace to this country I am so proud to call my home and I want you to help me run his ass out of town on a rail a week from today.

Seven days, folks. One hundred and sixty eight hours. (I wrote this last night. Gee. Can ya tell?)

I don't particularly care if you like John Kerry or not. Vote for him any damned how. Why?

Here's a few fine examples:

"Two e-mails, prepared for the executive director of the Bush campaign in Florida and the campaign's national research director in Washington DC, contain a 15-page so-called "caging list"."

Want to see the emails, complete with links to the headers?

Try here. For a BBC investigative story on this, go here.

That's right, ladies and germs. Because of a mis-typed email address, these poltroons have accidentally exposed a very likely illegal operation to disenfranchise black voters in Florida. That's not even all of it, sports fans. Oh, no. Read the rest of those emails to see some of the other outright dirty tricks and smoke screen bullshit they were planning.

But it's not just me (or several million other people in this country and around the friggin' world) that wants that menace away from the White House. How about Pat Buchanan's magazine, The American Conservative? Not exactly a ringing endorsement, true, but a damn fine statement of exactly why Georrge has to go. Yeah, I say that a lot, but it's true. Deal.

"These sentiments mean that as long as Bush is president, we have no real allies in the world, no friends to help us dig out from the Iraq quagmire. More tragically, they mean that if terrorists succeed in striking at the United States in another 9/11-type attack, many in the world will not only think of the American victims but also of the thousands and thousands of Iraqi civilians killed and maimed by American armed forces. The hatred Bush has generated has helped immeasurably those trying to recruit anti-American terrorists. Indeed his policies are the gift to terrorism that keeps on giving, as the sons and brothers of slain Iraqis think how they may eventually take their own revenge. Only the seriously deluded could fail to see that a policy so central to America’s survival as a free country as getting hold of loose nuclear materials and controlling nuclear proliferation requires the willingness of foreign countries to provide full, 100 percent co-operation. Making yourself into the world’s most hated country is not an obvious way to secure that help."

That's a direct quote from - and let me emphaszie this in bold caps - THE AMERICAN CONSERVATIVE. Not exactly "liberal media", not by any stretch of the imagination.

WAKE UP! There is no way, not by any conceivable standard of reason, that any Republican - or anyone else, for that matter - can in good conscience vote for this man. What he hasn't done personally, his underlings have and you know the old saying, to destroy a snake, you have to chop off the head. If you want your party to survive, if you want the country you profess to love so much to survive in the long or even short term, you cannot vote for George Bush.

I'm begging you, and thank you for listening.

(That being said, I'll have a post later today about my famed in song and story Halloween shows for this weekend)

I'm not voting for the warmonger and his corporate welfare pal. I'm not voting for Hanoi John and his ambulance-chasing sidekick, either. I don't have to vote for either of them, and I won't.

Try this on for size.

"Hanoi John", huh?

Try reading this if you're interested in what really went on.

"Hanoi John", my hairy white ass.

What really went on is a lot more than a Kerry partisan, who just happens to be a veteran of another unjust war, says.

"Hanoi" John is an epithet appropriate for a man whose communist sympathies have been pretty overt since the 70s, and were cemented when he (and fellow lefty Tom Harkin) met with vile Nicaraguan Marxist Daniel Ortega. Would you prefer it if I called him "Managua" John?

I won't vote for a comsymp, or an ambulance chaser, ever. I have no problem with (and even share much of) your revulsion for big government theocrat Bush, but Kerry is and always has been big government leftist scum. To repeat, I don't have to vote for either of them, and I won't.

Hoo-kay...

You do realize that officials of the Reagan government met with communist leaders on a regular basis, right?

And Ortega was elected, twice, by large majorities. When his third election bid failed, he handed power over peacefully, in accordance with the Nicaraguan Constitution. Something the US-backed Somoza government would never do.

John Kerry killed communists, and then worked to get us out of the war.

Yes, but I'm not a Reagan partisan, either. And winning an election with a large majority isn't that impressive when you stifle dissent. Needless to say, I didn't support Somoza.

John Kerry killed communists, then worked for decades to implement socialist programs here. He's a big government leftist, and would never get my vote.
