Dear America, if you are not sure what the corect word is then please look it up rather than make it up, unfortunately made up words have a habit of making it into te "American English" dictionary if enough of you use them.

What a jackass (or jackasses) - whomever did that really is the lowest of the low.

I volunteer at an animal shelter, and I know that if something like that happened, it would be quite detrimental to them.

My heart goes out to them - hopefully they'll have people willing to help!

Volunteering at an animal shelter is one of my favorite ways to spend the weekend, actually. :)

I get to walk dogs and visit with cats - and they get love and attention from humans that care enough to stop by and spend time with them!

I'm sure that you'll enjoy it - and hopefully you'll want to do it beyond the required 40 hours! :-)

I dunno, man. We had an elderly couple who ran a Bible store shot to death in their store (http://www.thekansascitychannel.com/news/3890678/detail.html) one morning a few weeks ago, here.

It can be heart-breaking some days (mainly when my favorite cats and dogs have been adopted), but other days, there's nothing like a happy puppy bouncing around at your feet, licking your hands and wanting to be walked, to remind you that it's all worthwhile. :)

and ive always wanted a dog, so i don't know why it took me so long to think of this!
