IF this is indeed true, then this happy horseshit needs to get nipped in the bud and fast:

"Instead the administration plans to push major amendments that would shield interest, dividends and capitals gains from taxation, expand tax breaks for business investment and take other steps intended to simplify the system and encourage economic growth, according to several people who are advising the White House or are familiar with the deliberations.

The changes are meant to be revenue-neutral. To pay for them, the administration is considering eliminating the deduction of state and local taxes on federal income tax returns and scrapping the business tax deduction for employer-provided health insurance, the advisers said."

So we get to deal with four more years of this bullshit because a bunch of religious freaks couldn't deal with the thought of gay people getting married and calling it that. Just +!_(@* lovely.

If you like your insurance, I suggest you get off your ass and start contacting every representative you can think of. I, for one, am not willing to stand by for four years while this toad orally services big business at the expense of the same people who voted his moron ass into office, or even people like me who hate his damn guts.

I can't wait to see the Bush supporters try and spin this one.

Some years back, the NRA fought against the Brady Bill on the grounds that it would be "the nose of the camel in the tent", referring to an old Arab proverb saying that if you woke up to find the nose of a camel in your tent, and you didn't do something about it, pretty soon the whole damn camel was going to be in your tent. After it passed, the president of HCI held a press conference at which he bragged, "The NRA said [the Brady Bill] would be the nose of the camel under the tent. Well, here's what the rest of the camel looks like."


I think we're getting our first looks at the rest of George Bush's camel.
