You have GOT to be kidding me!

Did you know that the DreamWorks film Shark Tale is nothing more than thinly disguised gay indoctrination?

Go ask the American Family Association, they'll tell you all about it!

Geez, whassamatter with you people? Can't a vegetarian anthropomorphised shark just BE an anthropomorphised shark?

'Sides, we're all different, right? In little ways? Like hair colour? Eye colour? Build of body? Race? Politico-religious domination? You know, a little less than half of USA hasn't disappeared off the map. (Thankfully, because the author is of the opinion that half can THINK.)

"Who gets to define pure? Everyone's different. Everyone's a little too tall, a little too short, a little too light, a little too dark."
(Probably misquoted slightly. Jeffrey Sinclair on the folly of the Ikarans who developed a near-invincible defensive superweapon, then put the hands of defining "pure Ikaran" for its programming into the hands of a bunch of religious racial-purity fanatics, who promptly defined a standard of "purity" that no-one could meet -- not even themselves.....)

Oo, that's good.

Nice. Verah nice. Where'd that come from, btw?

It's from Infection, an episode from Season 1 of Babylon 5.

Again, this confirms my theory that the religious right has waaaaay too much time on their hands.

And what's worse is they used The Onion as a source. Feh.

They got egg on their face within the last year or so for doing the same thing...only pulling it from one of the heavily satyrical headline pieces at The Onion, I believe.

Apparently, they didn't learn the first time.

That's probably the best part, actually. ;)

To be accurate, The Onion AV Club which seems to not be satirical but have actual interviews, reviews, etc. I could be wrong though :)

Mafia threats and violence? Whatever.

Perceived gay theme? Aaaaargh! Release the hounds!

Oh, no! Shark Tales could turn your child...tolerant!

What's next? A movie that suggests we should respect the opinions of those we disagree with? One that says we should use our minds for something other than rote indoctrination? Where will the horror end?

Thank God the AFA is here to protect us from tolerance and rationalism.

I thought Lenny was incredibly cute.

Hey, if that's not a reason to go see the damn film, I don't know what is.
