So the UN head of disaster relief thinks 15 million dollars is stingy

It bleeding well is, especially when you consider Preznit Bucky The Wonder Chimp's inaugural will apparently cost twice that amount if not more, and that's before security!

"Compassionate conservatism", my hairy white backside.

Another day, another reason to loathe that ten pounds of crap in a two pound bag masquerading as our President.

"It will be an important display of gratitude to members of the armed services. Each activity reflects our theme. We recognize this time that we are a nation at war."

Yeah, right. So how 'bout we give that $40 million to the V.A. to provide the services our armed forces were promised? There's a revolutionary thought, eh?

I know you like Pinata-ing the guy

But this is a slap in the face of America. To hell with who is the President. My eyes have been colored ever since back in the late 80s it was posted in my local newspaper that America wasn't paying it's dues in a timely manner to the UN.
Then a smart editor posted another seperate article showing how we paid the highest dues.
This chart posted by a co-worker of mine shows how much we give.
Which has nothing to do with the guy wearing training pants in office.

I'm tired of America being stared at every time the bill for dinner comes up.
And I'm really tired of other countries holding out their hands but arching an eyebrow and saying "That's it?"

Keep the money slated for France and the UN, give it to our vets and let the Prez get accepted in a backyard ceremony in his "Texan Ranch". There - more money for the refugees and our own.

FYI - Ted Nugent just moved in next door to that ranch. Seriously.

I'm embarrased to be apart of this Country. We boo-hoo over the 11 americans that were lost, when tens of thousands of non-americans are dead. People barely bat an eye, when there were relief groups and coin collections on every street corner for 9-11.

How much more self-centered can the U.S. get?

15 mil... 20 mil more with more on the way. Plus countless numbers of private donations. Hell, if I had any money right now I'd be pouring it into the Red Cross's coffers.
