Am I the only one who remembers that JESUS was an advocate for prostitutes, lepers, and other outcasts?
I am not even Christian, and I can smell the bullshit! What happened to "Love thy neighbor"?
I swear, Catholics have to be one tiny step closer to the Judeo-Christian God than Satanists, considering how far their policies fall from the basic tenets of Christianity.
We are all going to Hell... oops, it seems we are here already.
>"It's completely illogical to say that a gay monogamous man who practiced safe sex four years ago cannot be a sperm donor, but a heterosexual man who had high-risk unprotected sex 14 months ago can donate his sperm."
Hmm, so they don't want gay men donating sperm, and it's illogical on the grounds they state. So I guess they don't want them passing on their "gay genes".
They're also making it illegal to refuse treatment on the ground "they're gay"...
So how long do you think before Bush&co are advocating forced euthanasia of all the gays ?
Not your fault since you copied the headline, but "Federal Government bans Gay Sperm Donations" would have been a more accurate title. Washington state didn't get it into it's collective beady minds, it was a Federal Bureaucracy that made the decision in response to militant bigotry on the part of those in power. I thought this actually took effect a year ago, since I remember several articles to that effect.
Both articles are about bullshit policy. If you can base a decision to refuse non-emergency treatment based on your religious beliefs, I can't wait for the first time a member of "The Church of the Creator" refuses to help a black person as it's against the doctor's religion. I'm agreeing with someone in childfree, a bunch of us should become licensed pharmacists and refuse to fill/shred IVF prescriptions.

I'm thinking you're probably correct, since I also remember reading a lot of personal ads from lesbians seeking gay men to donate sperm for their IVF. That combined with the scientific studies indicating that a tendency towards homosexuality might be genetically based has to be terrifying to the neo-con fucktards.
Thank you for reminding me why I have no faith in our government. Thank you for reminding me that the moral majority really is that stupid. Thank you for reminding me that the unknown is still feared. Thank you for reminding me how much legislation can slip through the cracks. Thank you fo rreminding me that inaction is a weapon of mass destruction. Thank you for reminding me of why I will be grateful for my front row seat to the end of the world. Thank you.
The bill allows health care workers to refuse service to anyone on moral, ethical or religious grounds.
Wow. This also means that doctors could refuse service to menstruating women, if their religion finds them "unclean". This means that doctors can also refuse service to Jews and gypsies. Not that I'm trying to draw any parallels.
All anyone who is refused traeatment would have to do is call the AMA and have said DR's lisence taken away. This law would be a severe violation of the Hippocratic Oath.
Personally, I think the source site of this information is a little biased (not saying that they don't have a right to be, mind) and may be "padded" for shock value. I'd like to see the information posted elsewhere (like a legit news source) before taking it as gospel.
and after pondering over a few more sips of coffee
I think the whole banning of gay men's sperm donations would be more of a "They" don't want the "Gay Gene" to be passed on thing as opposed to a HIV thing.....What they fail to realize is that the majority of gay and lesbians come from "straight" couples.
Makes me SICK to see how badly misrepresented the gospel is these days! Jesus wouldn't be hangin out in the white house, that's for damn sure. He'd be hanging out with the gayest sickest hookerish smelliest people he could find. And he'd like it more than the finest state dinner dubya could set in front of him.

That is absurd! (Obviously.)

Is the Hippocratic Oath truly about to become a hypocritic oath?

Yup. Amen.
