Not reading the news is good. I just kind of skim the headlines mostly, or take whatever I read philosophically. I think it provides, a lot of the time, a kind of adrenaline rush that is simultaneously distressing and addictive.

Step away from the newspapers.
Put the kiddie block on CNN and all the other nasty mean old tv channels.
The world will probably unfortunately be just as you left it if you take a break for a while. No changes good or bad happen overnight.

Now....
Go rent something silly like the Jeeves & Wooster or Red Dwarf series or something equally as mindless,British & fun!

I took the liberty of writing it for ya. No aneurysm so far.

It's already been suggested to me that this stunt is no worse than, say, the Draft bill introduced by Democrat Chuck Rangel last year.
