I *know* I'm not supposed to be reading the news

But I simply can't let this go by without comment.

Unfortunately, if I write anything about it I'm quite likely to have an aneurysm.

Yeah

Not reading the news is good. I just kind of skim the headlines mostly, or take whatever I read philosophically. I think it provides, a lot of the time, a kind of adrenaline rush that is simultaneously distressing and addictive.

Just take a deep breath honey!
Rinse & repeat as necessary!
Now.........
Step away from the newspapers.
Put the kiddie block on CNN and all the other nasty mean old tv channels.
The world will probably unfortunately be just as you left it if you take a break for a while. No changes good or bad happen overnight.

Now....
Go rent something silly like the Jeeves & Wooster or Red Dwarf series or something equally as mindless,British & fun!

I took the liberty of writing it for ya. No aneurysm so far.

It's already been suggested to me that this stunt is no worse than, say, the Draft bill introduced by Democrat Chuck Rangel last year.

Can you say "reaching"? Oi vey.

inkmistress is right
