Thomas Woods stands on much firmer historical ground than his foolish and willfully ignorant detractors. Whether he's bigoted or not is difficult to determine unless one reads minds, but I've read many of his essays on Lew Rockwell's website. They're radical libertarians (anti-state, anti-war, pro-market), as I am, and there are some excellent, well-researched and analyzed essays there. Woods is hardly a jackass. He's answered his critics quite thoroughly so far (you can easily find those essays on Lew Rockwell's site, too).

I recommend the book frequently, and I'm neither a white supremacist, nor a bigot, nor a jackass.
