Dialup, I'd go with the Low feed. DSL and above, I'd try the high feed first.

You can also use RealPlayer 7 and above, as well as (as far as I know) Windows Media Player 9, iTunes, like that. As far as WMP goes, I haven't tried it with any of the earlier releases.

The absolute best way to listen in, at least for me, is to find whatever command your player uses for Add URL or Open URL, something like that.

With Winamp, it's Ctrl-L and you cut/paste one of the two addies in, hit open to exit the URL window, and hit play. You should be good to go from there.

If you want to make requests, go to http://www.radionosferatu.com/playing.html and off on the left hand side of the screen is a link to PlayList & Requests. Go there, look for the song you want, click on the Request link and hey presto.

Anyway, let's do this thing.

Since it was recorded in 1979, can I request Rocky Burnette's "Tired Of Toein' The Line"?

Cool show, but sadly I see no Rocky Burnette on the pre-ordained Request list.

Cool. was that ol' pub classic "Green Eyed Lady" played because I requested it? I liked that version of "Welcome to My Nightmare".

HAHA! And "Green Tambourine" and "Ball Of Confusion" too! I didn't expect to have such quick results with these fun picks. BTW, I'm warped, I like Mrs. Miller's version too. And, did you know the Lemon Pipers' keyboardist became a big fan of The Collectors back then, showing up at a lot of their gigs.

Damn! And "Louie Louie" too! I've made a couple CDs of just "Louie Louie" versions, as I've done with other songs like "Season Of The Witch." ALRIGHT! Now the live "Personal Jesus" Depeche Mode I also clicked.

Is it fair for me to have influenced your show so much in such a short period of time? *Gets up to dance*

Knock yourself out, man, that's what the request lists are for.

Just go to the song you want and click on that little link, there. It's just that easy.

I grew up listening to Green Eyed Lady - and don't limit yourself to just the stuff I have in tonight's playlist. If you see a song in anything I have up there you want to hear, knock yourself out.

Fetching Rocky as we speak.

Cool! I should send you some of his more recent rockabilly rockers. He and Brit guitar-slinger Darrel Higham (with his Enforcers) had a hit CD in the UK recently with "Hip Shakin' Baby".

Ok, something is really wrong with the feed. The jackin buttons from the RN website aren't working, the live365 is 'full' and your links here aren't working.

No wonder the listening numbers are down.

The jackin buttons on the main website are so working, I just tried them. So neener.

I did change the links on the backup site, though. Good call.

As far as the email goes, I have no clue what's going on. I'll get hold of the Skyfire people and see what's up.

I click jackin and get this:

[playlist]
NumberOfEntries=1
File1=http://sc1.liquidviewer.com:9946/

So its not working and I'm giving up trying.

It's got to be some kind of browser thing. I just tried two different browsers and you're the first person ever to have any kind of problems with it that I know of. I'll see if anyone else on LJ has problems with it, though. That could explain a lot.

You were right. Firefox doesn't let it go through. Put up a warning or something because Firefox is used by a hell of alot of people now days.

I got it working using IE.

Hm. I'm still going to have people check, though. Can't hurt to know for definite sure.

Works with my Firefox just fine -- although, to be fair, I am on a Mac...
