I was going to point out that nucear energy actually has less of an impact on the environment than hydro when done properly, but then I realised that probably wasn't what you were talking about. :p

While I think the filibuster is a stupid idea in the first place, pure institutionalized obstructionism, I think at least that if they're going to filibuster, they ought to have to bloody well get up there and filibuster, rather than just saying they're filibustering and have everyone else smile and nod while not actually doing a damned thing.

For my money, screw filibusters and just require a two-thirds majority on everything.
