The full title is Martian Successor Nadesico, if you want to look for it. IIRC, there's one season (26 episodes) and a movie.

I tried watching the first episode of this one, and I just couldn't get into it. I guess the nearest thing I could compare it to in mood and style is Serial Experiments LAIN, from what I saw. Dry, colorless, downer of an anime.

Granted, it's hard to judge an anime by the first one or two episodes (some, like Trigun, go through a complete change halfway); but I'm not going to force myself to watch episodes that are sucking the very soul out of me just in the hopes that it will eventually change/improve. That's why I wasn't a Star Trek: Voyager fan...
