I am so thoroughly disgusted with the thugs running the current administration(I won't even give it the dignity of capitalization)that I can no longer trust myself to be capable of reasoned and measured response. I am also pretty thoroughly disgusted with people who thought they were "making a statement" by voting for third-party candidates who didn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of being elected - because they were unable to see enough difference between the two majority part candidates, or for whatever reason. Honestly, people, sometimes it just IS a choice for the lesser of two evils. If you (generic) do nothing else before the next election (I originally typed "last" there - shows you how grim I feel), at least read the history of the two parties and then consider the differences between states' rights and a strong central government, consider which mode is most likely to have some success at addressing the problems we all face, and FINALLY, look at the records of the last two or three representatives of each party, and then decide who is more likely to actually run an administration along the lines of his/her party's fundamental theory of government (IOW, never mind what the party's platform said, what did the administration actually DO, and does that coincide with the party's fundamental theory - or did they just give lipservice to it to get elected and then go off in a direction of their own choosing). As for "Dear Leader" - he and his entire phalanx of phony cronies should (this space intentionally left blank). Attacking someone like Cindy Sheehan just shows them up (yet again) for the waste of oxygen they are.
