But it just keeps leaping to more and more surreal levels of outright stupidity and lies:

(I'll post the, well, post at that link here verbatim just to undescore the.. I have no words. Just read this, and.. gah.)

I had heard it suggested by a knowledgable source that a White House representative was listening in when National Hurricane Center Chief Max Mayfield gave that briefing Brown and Chertoff before Katrina hit.

(Did you get that, folks? Go to the briefing like there and you will see that FEMA (bone)head Mike Brown and Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff absolutely knew what was going to happen! But wait, it gets better!)

But according to this August 30th article in the St. Petersburg Times, on Sunday the 28th, Mayfield arranged a video conference call with President Bush himself at the Crawford Ranch during which he explained the hurricane's force and destructive potential.

Perhaps this is common knowledge. But I hadn't heard it before. And it would seem to leave little question that the president himself knew the critical information from Mayfield before Katrina even made landfall.

Said Mayfield, according to the Times: "I just wanted to be able to go to sleep that night knowing that I did all I could do."

Drug crazed weasels could have handled this better! These simple minded fuckheads can't open their mouths without lying, being idiots, or behaving in a manner that suggests a dyspeptic rhinoceros in the mating season would act with more logic and compassion.

One person with an IQ of 23 may be that stupid - but everyone involved? I want a serious investigation conducted and I want to see the people responsible for this get what they deserve.
