a lowlife sonofabitching pissant coward die die die you miserable fucking steroid addled gap toothed jerkoff grabass washed up hack.

Not that I'm bitter on my friend's behalf or anything, I just want that
religious right puppet freakshow refugee to have the very pen he signs the veto with shoved up his ass sideways. I hate him, I hate every single insanity ridden religious freak that cheers this decision, and I wouldn't piss on a goddamn one of them if they were on fire. Fuck him, fuck the far right, fuck the miserable dregs of humanity that will whoop up his veto, and I hope every last one of them gets every last ounce of karma they have coming to them like the festering warts on the backside of humanity they are.

On a more serious note, although I agree with you on the subject as a whole, there is one statement made (albeit probably as an excuse to justify his actions) that I do agree with in principal:
"We cannot have a system where the people vote and the Legislature derails that vote," the governor's press secretary, Margita Thompson, said in a statement. "Out of respect for the will of the people, the governor will veto (the bill)."

I know I'm sick and tired of voting for something, having that position win, then having the state or federal legislature basically say, "Oh, fuck you people, we know what's best," and turn my vote into so much festering pidgeon droppings.

I notice it happens most frequently when we vote down a tax proposal that would raise taxes. They either step in and directly negate the bill, or reconfigure the tax and hide it in another proposition unrelated to what the tax was for.

As for Governor Blackenedpecker, err whatever it is... He needs to stick to what he does best; playing muscle-headed, witless robots that end up getting crushed, melted or blown up.

Oh, and Kindergarten Cop sucked ASS!

Politically, it was a smart move. The Cons would've been all over him if he'd gone any other way. And it should be more the court's decision than it is his. (The court's looking at the law now.)

The so-called "family groups" will hail this as a victory. Arnold sees it as something that isn't & shouldn't be his call.

Gay marriage on the ballot is honestly what got Dubya back in office. It got all the biblethumpers so excited to vote against what supposedly violates "God's Law".

If the possibility of "Gay Marriage" didn't remotely exist, the cons would've created it in order to get their people to vote.

Um, frankly ....

The California initiative process is a way the people can go over the head of the legislature (who THEY ELECTED, remember) when it becomes necessary. Would you prefer Schwarzenegger had said "FUCK what the people want"?

Schwarzenegger made the right call on this one, IMHO. Your beef should be with the majority of California voters who already said "No, we do not want to allow this." Schwarzenegger is just respecting their expressed will.

Unless, of course, you think your governor and legislature should feel free to ignore your expressed will. (Which most of them do anyway.)
