Bueller... Bueller..

Wow. Show's been on for just over three hours and I'm the only listener. Cool by me, if somewhat disappointing. I'll give it another fortyfive or so and then call it a night if folks just aren't in the mood for tunes. Hey, it happens. No biggie. If you need details, go to my show post from last night to find the link to the info on How To.

Sorry, Doc, I'm not in tonight. Headed to SF to play on a boat.

The boat has net-radio.

As of Monday evening that boat, in its current marina (some hole-in-the-pond known worldwide as Fisherman's Wharf), has a network connection. There's a little directional patch antenna in the center starboard portal, aimed back toward Coit Tower and working with an AP calling itself "Telegraph Hill".

I tried an omni with the same rated gain figure, *with* an amplifier, and couldn't maintain the same association. The PC, installed as a DVD player, has a bottom-of-the-line six speaker audio system that's more than adequate for a 36' sailboat's main cabin.

Of course her slip isn't available for rent after the 7th, she's NOT seaworthy, and just the stress of towing her across the Bay might send her down. Again. Yeah, that's why she was affordable in the first place.

A dollar and a bloody mary, reads the coast guard transfer paperwork.

Thought I'd finally stop in. Metal. My dark and dirty secret love.

I'll tune in more when I get my cable internet next week :). Dialup is just too frustrating.
