Can somebody please slap the "Mythbusters"? I just do not like the cocky "See how stupid you are for thinking this stuff actually works? Loser." attitude they seem to project. Note I said "seem". I acknowledge I've had four hours of sleep and been taking care of a sick Herself all day so my perceptions might not be exactly what one might call particularly acute just now.

i don't know what it is about that show, but if I'm bored and come across it channel surfing, I can't look away, even when I realize I am bored and didn't need to know any of it in the first place!

I don't know, but I want to smack the berret off that one guy's head. Unless you're Max Fischer there is never a reason to wear a berret.

Also, they look a lot alike yet I'm told they're not even related. This unsettles me.

I also love this show but must admit that once they added the "young, attractive interns" it has slipped slightly.

I think it would be interesting if they had different "interns" every episode, kinda like Monster Garage. If their experiment works, they get some nifty geek stuff, etc. and so on.

I would love to show both of them who's Mistress, but well, um....I guess that's something else entirely.

*grin*

I actually like them - its one of the few things I watch.

Then again, I'm sure I hated them when I first watched them. Probably for similar reasons as you are experiencing now.

i hate that show. rarely do they actually "bust a myth". Ark of the Covenant ? Pashaw. Most of the time, its just "lets make a 1 hour long show about blowing shit up". I'd rather watch something I could actually learn from.

Well, yeah, but it's _fun_ to watch them blow stuff up. And from where I sit, I don't think they take themselves too seriously, but quite knowingly use the myths as an excuse to use assorted objects to wreck other assorted objects. Don't know about you, but to me, that's fun.

they should call it the "blow shit up for no reason" show then.

I find it pretty amusing myself - and I don't watch much TV. *shrug*

That's what I do too. I don't get reception at my place. I call it my VCR with a view screen...
