Thanks to isomeme I was introduced to two incredibly geekariffic plugins for Firefox - Deepest Sender, which is how I'm posting this right now, and a beyond cool music player plugin known as FoxyTunes that can work with Deepest Sender to detect music.

Just. Too. Damn. Cool.
