I would have chosen "Bloody Hell".

(You can't tell, but my Allah Sulu flag is at half-mast)

As long as that's all of yours I hear about being at half-mast, pal.

My crotch was at half-mast when Bert got killed by Satanic kittens in Sluggy Freelance...

Viva la Crotch, indeed. *weep*

Let's all lift our glasses (I almost said "crotches") and give one last "Bah!" for Bert. As for the Clash, I hope they keep a tight hold on their song rights. The last thing we need is a tribute album, with Celine Dion singing "Should I Stay Or Should I Go?"

....

Excuse me. I'm going to go pound my head against a wall until that nightmarish mental image is gone from my beleagured brain.

[identity profile] allah-sulu.livejournal.com 2002-12-23 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
I apologize.

It is because my brain cells continue to foist such concepts upon me that I am compelled to continue killing them softly with vodka.

You're going to have to race me to that wall then.

Eeg.

It's not like my eye was bleeding BEFORE.

OK, so who would you like to hear do some classic Clash?

I'd love to hear The Offspring handle "Should I Stay" myself.

I don't get those tribute albums. If I want to honor the Clash, I'll listen to the Clash.

Not bloody Celine Dion, I'll tell you. I'll give that some thought, though, because you *know* there's going to be a tribute album.

My immediate thought was the good Mr. Lydon and Public Image Limited covering "London Calling".

Alas, I got a "Page Not Found." I assume, however, that this is about Joe Strummer.

Yup. Thanks for the heads up. I goofed on html-ing the link, but now it's fixed.
