You know what's depressing? I'll tell you what's depressing.

What's depressing is when a good friend just up and disappears for no reason. Beepbeepzipbangbuhbye. Not a goodbye, not a "fuck off and die", not even mamushka. He just disappeared, with not a word to anyone at all, ever. He's still around (I think), but for the life of me I just can't fathom somebody doing that with utterly no warning. It really sucks, to be quite honest about it.

I know what you mean, that happened to me recently too. Probably my oldest friend I think.

As annoying as it is that he did just up and evaporate (and of course I knew who you meant), I just worry that he's okay.

Annoying as it may be, track him down and make sure he's OK. I'm certified mentally ill with papers to prove it, and I have to take 2 drugs every day to come near normality.

I hope you don't think I'm meddling or telling you how to run your life, but he could have developed an illness. One sign of depression is staying home every minute, refusing to come out and mingle with your friends.

He could need help and be unable to ask for it.

I can relate...post-Katrina, all of my friends are scattered who-knows-where, and the insanity quotient has risen here...I had a dinner date with a friend, showed up at his house and his roommate told me he had packed up his car and moved to Austin about an hour before I arrived. Weirdness abounds.
*hugs*

hunt him down

I agree, hunt him down just to be sure.

*shrug* Happens to me all the time. I'm used to it.

All sorts of things could have happened...

I know you worry. You're too loving not to, but try not to - it'll make you nuts, and I like you the way you are!

Love you. :)
