This was shown not only on the national news on our local stations but was replayed on on local news at 10. Granted, this is a local story for us, since our TV stations are out of Mobile, AL and Mobile had a lot of damage too, but even so. The station I had on is a Clear Channel station, the network that is so disgustingly biased toward Repugs.
Dude, he got on tv a few days later and lied to the entire nation when he said that nobody could have anticipated the levees situation. This video demonstrably proves otherwise.
At absolute best, this video proves rather conclusively that their apparent first concern was spouting the "How were we supposed to know this was going to happen" line ad infinitum. They went into total Operation CYA (Cover Your Ass) after the hurricane and now the "nobody could have known" bilge has been proven for the ream of schweineri it is. This is absolute bullshit, and they've got some explaining to do at bare minimum.
I'll concede to you the misinformation aspect of this. And I will concede that the entire situation should have been handled better. Look, frankly, I am not utterly impressed with how this administration handles things, but I am not willing to hang them either.
