My stepmother Holly just called to inform me my father is in Audobon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky right now having a double bypass. Apparently, the prognosis is excellent and he should be out of surgery and doing just spiffy.

So pardon me while I go have a meltdown until I hear he's out of the woods.

My mother has had heart trouble in recent years, and more than once has called for one of our usual weekly chats and casually mentioned 'Oh, I was in the hospital last week'. Aaargh! I wish she'd call when things like that happen. Anyway-- I sympathize, and I hope your dad's okay.
